Julie Hughes has more than 30 years of finance, strategy, and client relationship management experience. Julie is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships with public agencies along with participating actively in the portfolio management process. Julie works extensively with clients to develop and implement investment strategies for operating funds and bond proceeds. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and regularly writes the firm’s economic and market commentary. Julie is a member of Chandler’s Economic and Market Analysis Committee and Quantitative Analysis Committee.
Prior to joining Chandler, Julie worked as a fixed income portfolio manager, municipal advisor, and municipal credit analyst. She has deep expertise with structured products and hedging interest rate risk for municipal debt. In addition to advising the public sector, Julie has held positions in corporate strategy and management consulting.
Julie earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
